Hi! It's your busy little friend at S.U. I'm sort of blowing my mind cuz I wanted to invite you up but I don't know when to ask you to come. So -- I guess I{"ll just leave it up to you. Any weekend but the last weekend of this month.
You won't believe it, but I transferred out of liberal arts into the school of art. (Close your mouth.) Anyhow, it's great even though I never get any sleep and manage to fit in about three meals a week.
Monica is living in Atlanta and going to business school. I think she and Chris want to get married next summer. I'm not positive though.
I still don't know my marks for last semester yet. I think at the lowest a 2.4. It's not that good, but as along as I don't go on pro (1.9) I don't really care.
That's about all for this time. Let me know if you're coming up and when.

November 17, 1968 (Letter from Patty)
I'm sorry that I haven't written for so long, but I've been waiting for an opportunity to invite you up. It just hasn't arose yet. It's really hard to believe how quickly the time goes around here.
The first half of the semester is almost over. We finished taking midterms last week. I don't ever want to think about last week thought. It was one of the worst weeks of my life. I still don't think I've recovered. Such is life.
You won't believe this, but Chris and Monica got married yesterday. I almost fainted when I got her letter. It's hard to imagine the people you've grown up with married. I know I can't imagine myself married.
I guess they're going to live in Georgia and Monica is going to start school at Georgia Tech with Chris. At least that's what I gather from her letter -- it was written rather hurriedly.
Thanksgiving vacation starts a week from this Wed, but I'm not expecting much rest. I'm leaving Tues nite cuz I don't have any classes Wed morning, and going home till Thursday nite. Then I'm going to East Meadow to stay with a friend until Sunday, when I'm supposed to get a ride back up here.
How is everything going for you? Have you heard from Mike or anyone else since you left for school? I got a letter from Mike and answered it. As of now, he hasn't written back.
Well, typical of me I've got to answer about five more letters, so I'd better leave you. Write soon.

November 7, 1968 (Letter from Mary)
Again, I've taken too long to write, so sorry...
Hope you're completely recovered from the flu and strep throat stuff. A lot of kids have had it around here. You must have had tons to make up after 9 days.
Glad to hear your social life is booming. As for mine, it seems to be dwindling. I haven't seen Bob since a week ago Sunday. I've only talked to him twice since then. I haven't decided what's with him but one thing I am sure of -- I'm getting pretty sick of these four walls. Yuck. Can't wait til vacation.
You've probably already heard about Chris and Monica. If you haven't....she's pregnant and will leave Clarion soon to be married. I still don't believe it's true, but I've heard it from so many different sources -- even Bob's mom. I suppose I should say --"How could they?" or "What a terrible thing", but I can't -- because they still seem like the perfect couple and I like them both very much. I hope everything turns out all right for them.
How was your other set of exams? What will you be going into now that you've dropped the idea of dentistry? Bob called the other night completely discouraged with engineering, too. He fells that all the studying he does -- doesn't profit on his tests -- or something like that. It's mostly philosophy that's bothering him -- he might still have a chance for an A in math tho -- so I don't know what he's worried about.
The term here ends before Christmas, which means finals and more finals. Is that the way yours works? I'm getting scared already. This place is really getting on my nerves -- as you can probably see! Maybe it's just the day -- it's so gloomy. Have you had snow yet?
UB girls are pretty lucky -- I can't imagine how beautiful life would be w/out curfews!! We're still working on getting 2:30 for Fri and Sat. I doubt if anything will come out of it tho.
Well...I better get goin -- we sign up for winter term classes today. See you at Thanksgiving I hope! (We gete out on Wed morn -- 11 AM.)
